Afraid to Face the Reality, the US Rejects Face-to-Face Talk Offer

US White House spokesperson Robert Gibbs said US officials believe the offer was not serious and it violated a US self-inflicted sanction regime against Iran.

August 04. 2010 (Hamsayeh.Net) - The world’s most indebted nations, the United States of America refused an offer of face-to-face talk by Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

US White House spokesperson Robert Gibbs said US officials believe the offer was not serious and it violated a US self-inflicted sanction regime against Iran. Robert Gibbs said the offer was out of desperation as Iran tries to counter increasing economic pressures due to the effectiveness of those sanctions.

On Wednesday, the US imposed yet another set of sanctions on 21 entities including what it claimed were several foreign banks and financial firms working in Iran.  The unilateral move was aimed at foreign registered Iranian government owned banks and investment companies. ‘By identifying these entities, including banks, investment companies and technology firms, U.S. persons and others are better able to identify Iranian Government entities and protect themselves against the risks posed by such entities,’ US Treasury Department said in a statement.

‘As its isolation from the international financial and commercial systems increases, the Government of Iran will continue efforts to evade sanctions, including using government-owned entities around the world that are not easily identifiable as Iranian to facilitate transactions in support of their illicit activities,’ said Under Secretary for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence Stuart Levey.

The announcement comes at the time when most American citizens begin to feel a growing anger over Zionist lobby’s grip on the United States. Reminiscent of the post World War I in Germany, a vast number of Zionist affiliated individuals nowadays occupy sensitive governmental positions in the US government. Members of this group along with their families belong to the privileged class enjoying a much higher standard of living as compared to the rest of American people who continue to grapple with widespread crimes, unemployment, foreclosures, sub-standard education and other social ills.

Today, The United States is considered world’s number one most indebted nation. In a report published by Bloomberg, a leading Harvard University professor, Niall Ferguson said within the next five years the US dollar will lose its status as the international reserve currency to the Chinese yuan. He said more and more investors are moving toward a ‘de facto’ gold standard.

The Obama adminstration refused to hold talks with Iranian officials.
