Israeli Officials Resort to Mumble-Jumble at Turkel Commission

As shown in the case of attacking a humanitarian aid flotilla, the Israeli troops not only used wartime live bullets against unarmed civilians, but they actually did that outside their own borders.

August 16, 2010 (Hamsayeh.Net) - Latest Israeli witness at Turkel Commission, an international probe into the humanitarian flotilla killings, retired army Gen. Giora Eiland who previously headed Israel’s own investigation into the case spoke to BBC yesterday.

Despite each Israeli officials taking full responsibility for such criminal act, Eiland said he believed that unarmed Turkish activists on board Mavi Marmara had in mind to attack fully armed Israeli commandos storming the ship from all directions right in international waters.

Such an argument by an Israeli former military official is yet another instance of Israeli disregard for basic international norms. According to Eiland speaking to Zionist controlled BBC, ‘They (the activists) were really committed to kill and be killed!’

The strange thing about Eiland’s saying is video-clips on board Mavi Marmara clearly show activists and doctors were treating several injured Israeli troops and that explains why none of the Israeli troops got killed. In fact if activists were committed to killing Israeli troops, why should they provide them medical treatments? Also how come only half-asleep unarmed Turkish activists received lethal gunshots that ultimately led to nine of them killed?

Calling the attack against half-asleep unarmed civilians outside Israel’s maritime boundaries a professional mistake, Eiland said under those circumstances the actual number of deaths were surprisingly low.

This type of pompous and self-righteous attitude by Israeli officials has been one of their favorite methods of explaining what normally constitutes crime. As shown in the case of attacking a humanitarian aid flotilla, the Israeli troops not only used wartime live bullets against unarmed civilians, but they actually did that outside their own borders.

Supposing that citizens from other countries have speeding tickets, it does not give the Zionist regime the right to dispatch soldiers to kill them in other parts of the world.
