Ahmadinejad: US System of Governance Has Reached The End

For many years you (Western delegates) have had big tongues but little ears, now it is time to make it vice versa: Ahmadiejad.

September 20, 2010 (Hamsayeh.Net) - Iranian President is once again in New York this year to deliver a speech at UN national assembly.

During an interview with ABC, and in response to latest comment by US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton over the growing power of military in Iran, the Iranian President recommended that Mrs. Clinton better think before making false statements about the situation in Iran. ‘Don't you think that Mrs. Clinton should think a little bit before she makes statements of such nature? How would she feel if we were to just fabricate statements?’ FARS News Agency reported Ahmadinejad as saying, Monday.

According to the report Ahmadinejad asked US to show its own gesture of good will by releasing Iranians imprisoned in that country as Iran had done this week releasing the female US detainee Sarah Shourd. ‘Now you may be aware that eight Iranians are illegally detained in the U.S. So I believe that it would not be misplaced to ask the U.S. government to make a humanitarian gesture and release the Iranians who were illegally arrested and detained here in the United States.’ Ahmadinejad told ABC.

Earlier, the Iranian President on the sideline of the UN General Assembly meeting, told reporters that the world today is witnessing two different types of global management, namely the one of US old hegemonic way of managing affairs and the other one of Iranian system of governance based on friendship, equality and respect. ‘In the American one, anyone who holds power is undisputedly considered rightful,’ adding, ‘the US system is intrinsically based on coercion and control.’ Ahmadinejad said the US system is a failed one and Western-system of governance is now at the end of its road.

The Iranian President said most countries in the world today support Iranian system of governance. 'For many years you (Western delegates) have had big tongues but little ears, now it is time to make it vice versa,' he said.

During last year's UN General Assembly, a limited number of delegates from historically marginalized countries led by the United States left the UN hall when Iranian President was delivering his speech. The US-led move received worldwide condemnations from leading countries around the world comprising a vast majority of UN member states.
