Eyewitness Accounts - Israel's Attack on Mavi Marmara

September 28, 2010 (Hamsayeh.Net) - The following video is the Gaza flotilla attack eyewitness accounts of what happened on Mavi Marmara, organized by Palestine Solidarity campaign (PSC) a non-profit organization based in the UK.

As a professional reporter who was aboard Mavi Marmara during the Israeli onslaught, Jamal El-Shayyal of Qatar’s Al Jazeera, tells his own accounts of what actually happened on that day.

The Turkish owned Mavi Marmara was sailing in international waters when, contrary to international norms, fully-armed IDF troops attacked half-asleep civilians. Highly courageous activists comprising of noted intellectuals, doctors, scholars and activists, empty handedly arrested almost 10 Israeli soldiers and confiscated their weapons. They also managed to give proper medical treatments to a few Israeli soldiers who sustained minor injuries during the skirmish. Israeli troops killed 9 defenseless Turkish activists on that day.

A UN panel has just condemned Israel for the crime committed against humanitarian activists. It concluded that Israeli troops executed some of the victims. Turkish authorities strongly condemned the Israeli aggression against Turkish people and vowed to take strong actions with respect to the killings. On the other hand, the Zionist-controlled United States issued a statement saying the report by the UN panel was unbalanced. This shows how fully the Obama administration has degraded itself into serving Israel like a simple puppet.
