Big Powers' Unilateralism major cause of Regional Insecurity
Tehran, Dec. 12, 09 (Hamsayeh.Net) - Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki at a regional security conference in Manama, Bahrain, strongly criticized big powers’ unilateralism with respect to important global issues and called for a new more functional world management system.
Mottaki said that the biggest cause of insecurity in the region is major powers’ unilateralism by which they interfere in other countries affairs particularly in the Middle East. Iran’s Foreign Minister said the best way to combat such unilateral policies would be to engage in greater cooperation amongst countries of the region.
Mottaki described the Israeli regime as the main cause of insecurity in the region and beyond. He said the Zionist regime continues to commit heinous crimes against innocent people.
In Iran another top ranking Iranian official Mostafa Mohamad Najjar, Iran’s Interior Minister, speaking in city of Kermanshah in western Iran said Iranians will foil plots concocted by arrogant powers that seek to dominate others. Najjar said, ‘ Iranian armed forces are ready to encounter any threats by the enemy.’
