US and Israel Preparing To Attack Iran: Former Malaysian PM

Obama Didn't Fulfill His Promises

Dec. 31, 09 (Hamsayeh.Net) - Former Malaysian Prime Minister Mahatir Mohamad expressed his disappointments with the current Malaysian government for its policy shift towards the West.

‘We have changed. Previously we defended countries against oppression by the United States. Now we are backing the US in oppressing Iran,’ he said in a posting on his blog today. ‘Now our envoy is recalled and is being questioned for not backing America. Is this our new policy?’ asked the former PM.

The former Prime Minister said the US with its ally Israel are preparing for a military attack on Iran. He said Americans want to portray the Iranian nuclear program as a danger to the whole world, ‘the US will introduce ‘forged evidences’ showing Iran aims to ‘start a nuclear war against the world.’

When countries like Pakistan, India and Israel built nuclear weapons in secret then even if Iran where to built a nuclear bomb so what?   Mahatir questions, ‘They are using depleted uranium from nuclear products. We allow it. Officially we are not protesting…India has nuclear weapons. So does Pakistan, Why not Iran?’ he said.

Mahatir Mohamad was also very critical of Obama’s claimed policy change when saying ‘Obama has not even fulfilled one word of his promises. Far from making changes, he is adding more troops to Iraq and Afghanistan. The Guantanamo detention camp also remains open," said Dr Mahathir.
