US' Proposed European Missile Shield, Against Russia: Former Moldovan President

This is Very Similar to Hitler's Pact With the Former Romanian Dictator Ion Antonescu.

February 15, 2010 (Hamsayeh.Net) - Former Moldovan President Vladmir Voronin said the proposed missile defense shield in Romania is very similar to a pre-WWII agreement between then prime minister of Romania Ion Antonescu and German Fuhrer Adolf Hitler against the Soviets.

’The steps taken by Basescu are similar to the agreements to form an anti-Soviet coalition reached by Antonescu and Hitler.’ The former Moldovan president said.

’Moldovan society is against basing U.S. anti-missile defense systems in Romania. The strained Moldovan-Romanian relations will become worse. We do not accuse Romania for this decision, as we are aware of its unionist policy. Romania cannot accept that Moldova exists as an independent state,’ Voronin said during a conference themed ‘Location of Anti-Rocket Systems in Romania: Russia's and Moldova's Reaction,’ Moldovan news agency Info-Prim Neo reported.

Voronin reasoned that despite US repeated claims on Iran dangers; the recent missile shield contracts with Poland and Romania are in essence a return to the Cold War era. Romania’s green light to Washington for the establishment of a missile defense system on its soil represents an anti-Russia move similar to an agreement reached between Ion Antonescu and Hitler.

Former Romanian fascist dictator Ion Antonescu was to become one of Hitler’s most trusted partners against the Soviet Union during the Second World War. Antonescu facilitated German attacks on the USSR and the Romanian army crossed into Odessa killing thousands of local people. The Romanian army also actively participated alongside the German siege of Leningrad, but eventually decimated by the Soviets.
