Iran Master of Nuclear Enrichment

The West just has to cope with a strong Iran ...I know it is hard for them to digest, but it is the reality: Envoy

Tehran, February 18, 2010 (Hamsayeh.Net) - Ali Asghar Soltanieh Iran’s envoy to the UN nuclear watchdog reaffirmed that Iran would keep up with its domestic nuclear program even with the threat of military attack.

‘Iran will never give up enrichment at any price. Even the threat of military attack will not stop us,’ said Ali-Asghar Soltanieh in an interview with the New Statesman, a British current affairs magazine on Wednesday. The envoy called Iran the ‘Master of Enrichment’ a reference to the country’s ability to harness the hidden secrets of matter within the nucleus of atom.

‘The West just has to cope with a strong Iran, a country with thousands of years of civilization that is now the master of enrichment. I know it is hard for them to digest, but it is the reality,’ explained the envoy.

Earlier this month Western powers demanded that Tehran must immediately ship its low enriched uranium out of the country and accept the term of an agreement in a rather one-way manner. However, Tehran rejected their so-called nuclear swap proposal by demanding concrete guarantees as to the return of higher enriched uranium to Iran for use at Tehran’s medical reactor. But the West threatened Iran if it doesn’t accept the deal it would face severe sanctions and even military attacks on its nuclear installations.

Tehran soon began its own enrichment to 20 percent purity and has so far made tremendous leaps forward in the direction of producing nuclear fuel for its medical reactor, all under IAEA supervision. Despite such an outstanding level of transparency, Western powers continue to exercise bullying types of attitudes toward peaceful nature of the Iranian nuclear program.

The reason behind this may be self-explanatory. Western bullies have for long painted their own portraits as the ones holding monopolies over scientific matters particularly in the field of nuclear technology. Thus the Iranian nuclear achievement has dealt a major blow to the West’s self-esteem, which could in the long run effect their relationships to the outside world in a way that make them feel inadequate, insufficient and therefore more isolated.

From a psychological point of view, the west, therefore must try to fill this gap caused by a low self-esteem with more forceful reactions and extrovert measures which would temporarily compensate and mask the shortcomings. That may explain why they are using the language of threat every so often.
