Tehran, March 01, 2010 (Hamsayeh.Net) - Iranian military Plans to  test-fire a new generation of a smart bomb with awesome power. The new bomb called Qassed (Herald) weighs 900 kg and is an optimized version of an earlier model currently in service.

The Qassed II, is an air to ground bomb with knight vision capabilities. It enjoys a high degree of precision as it closes in on its target. The smaller version Qassed I has already been tested and it is now in mass production. The latest model is larger and therefore has greater destructive power.

The Iranian Commander said of the US Patriot system deployment in some Persian Gulf states as something not too new because they (the US) had previously deployed similar systems before without much success. He added that the Pentagon is currently expanding its land to sea missile systems to counter what it calls the Iranian threat.

Oil rich Persian Gulf Arab states have signed major military contracts with Washington worth billions of euros. The US is setting up missile defence systems all around the globe. It plans to install anti-missile systems in Taiwan against China, in Poland, Romania against Russia, in the Persian Gulf states against Iran as well as other places in South America.
