Iranian Nuclear Official Criticized Amano's Biased Approach

Amano Should Change His Approach Towards the Iranian Nuclear Program.

Tehran, March 02, 2010 (Hamsayeh.Net) - Iran’s Head of Atomic Energy Organization Ali Akbar Salehi strongly criticized the UN atomic watchdog for its bias towards the Iranian nuclear program and suggested that the new chief of the IAEA work to correct it.

‘We expected (Yukiya) Amano to examine and adopt a position about the nuclear issue in an unbiased way, but unfortunately and in contradiction with what he had said before, we did not see an unbiased position,’ Salehi said and added, ‘We hope that he will change his approach.’

The new chief of the IAEA, Yukiya Amano in his report sited Iran’s lack of cooperation with the international nuclear watchdog by not providing enough information on its nuclear activities. ‘We cannot confirm that all nuclear material in Iran is in peaceful activities because Iran has not provided the agency with the necessary cooperation,’ Amano said.
